Men and Women Faq's

Safety Concerns: Yes — when performed by a trained and experienced practitioner, Hijaamah is a safe, natural therapy. We use sterile, single-use equipment and follow strict hygiene protocols to ensure your health and safety.

Discomfort / Pain: Most clients describe the sensation as mild discomfort rather than pain. You may feel a light pulling from the cups and a small sting when the skin is lightly scratched — but many find it relaxing and therapeutic overall.

Blood Expullsion: No. Only a small amount of blood is released during Hijaamah. It’s just enough to help remove toxins, stagnant blood, and inflammation from the body — far less than a standard blood donation.

Session Duration: A typical session lasts 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your individual needs and the number of cups used. The actual cupping time is usually around 10–20 minutes.

Small incisions usually heal within 3–7 days. You may see slight redness or round marks that fade over time. We give you full aftercare guidance to support fast, clean healing.

Mild side effects like temporary soreness, redness, or fatigue are normal and usually short-lived. These are signs that your body is detoxing and responding to treatment.

We recommend:

  • Staying hydrated
  • Resting for a few hours
  • Avoiding heavy meals, workouts, and showers for about 6–12 hours
  • Keeping the cupped areas clean and covered

You’ll receive clear aftercare instructions tailored to your session.

This depends on your health goals. Some people benefit from sessions every 4–6 weeks, while others come seasonally or annually for maintenance. We'll help you build a plan that suits your body.

Hijaamah during pregnancy is not recommended unless done by a highly experienced practitioner, and only after the first trimester. We avoid abdominal and lower back areas entirely. Always consult with us first.

It's generally best to wait until after your period, as your body is already cleansing. However, for some conditions like hormonal imbalance or PCOS, your practitioner may recommend light sessions during certain phases of your cycle.

Yes — but we take extra care to monitor blood sugar and healing. Diabetic clients must inform us before booking. Healing may take slightly longer, and we tailor the session to ensure safety.

If you're on blood thinners, we require a consultation first. In many cases, Hijaamah is not advised due to bleeding risk. Clients with blood-borne diseases must also disclose this, as it affects safety, technique, and equipment disposal.
